Frequently asked

How do I pay?+

Top up your prepaid wallet with a credit or debit card in US dollars. You can turn on auto-recharge so your wallet refills before it runs low. Sales tax may be added at checkout where applicable.

Who can sign up?+

Kasada Hosting is available to customers in the United States. Signing up needs an email address and a US phone number.

How does hourly billing work?+

Each running server is charged by the hour from your prepaid wallet. A server's charges in a calendar month never go above its monthly price, so leaving it on all month costs exactly the monthly price.

What happens if my balance runs out?+

We warn you by email and in the console when you have about three days of credit left. If the balance drops below zero you get a 72-hour grace period; after that servers are powered off but your data is kept for 14 more days.

Where are the servers?+

You choose a region when you create a server: US East (the default), EU Central or US West. Pick the one closest to your users.

Can I send email from my server?+

Outbound email on port 25 is blocked on new accounts to stop spam. After 30 days in good standing you can ask us to open it from the console. See the port 25 policy.

Are there limits for new accounts?+

For the first 30 days new accounts can run up to 2 servers, up to the K2 size. The limits lift automatically after that, or sooner on request.
